Funny thing...

The first half of my day is spent with 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th graders and then I have to switch gears completely and spend the rest of my day/evening with middle schoolers. Is it wrong that I think it's funny my 1st graders can't say 30? "dirty one, dirty two, dirty tree....".

K is for KPOP

I cannot believe I’ve gone this long and haven’t blogged about Kpop. Not even mentioned it. Kpop is shorthand for Korean Pop (music). Lacking sophisticated melodies and lyrically wading in the shallow end, Kpop may not be for everyone. However, for pop culture enthusiasts and the like, it’s a bit of an obsession.  The boy band madness may be taking an intermission from American pop culture for the time being and possibly everywhere else but it is alive and well in Korea. Cheesy dance moves+catchy beats+lovesick (and adorable!) Korean boys= Kpop. Let me just set the record straight. Hormonally challenged pre-teens on the precipice of transformation whilst rebounding from erratic emotions taking them on a joy ride – do not have a monopoly on Kpop J.
With it being “White Day” tomorrow, I find it quite appropriate to share this kpop video (Super Junior). There’s a love bug that has gotten everyone in Korea lovesick. White Day happens to be exactly one month after Valentine’s Day and it is a day when boys will give girls candy!
